epoxy floor paint cold setting
It's a common scenario; a chiller room at 0°C needs coating with a floor paint but can't be switched off to allow the temperature to increase to 10°C+. A conventional epoxy paint will actually not set at such a temperature, remaining wet for days, weeks if not permanently (depends on the formulation).
ACM has the answer to this problem. We offer ACM Epoxicote Cold Set, a special formulation which can be applied at 0°C yet still cure after 24 hours. This product is available in Light Grey, Tile Red and Mid Green in 4.5kg quantities which covers 12-18sq.m depending on temperature - the product is thicker at 0°C than at 6°C. Once cured the product can actually withstand temperatures down to -10°C.
The ACM Epoxicote data sheet covers the application and performance criteria of the product, the only difference being a different hardener is used for the cold set grade. Please specify on an order ACM Epoxicote Cold Cure to make sure you receive the right product.
