Without equipment, evaluating the roughness of a floor is no simple thing. A health and safety officer should not be using instinct to decide if a floor is suitable for use in a particular process environment.

Imagine a smooth textured floor in an area where liquids are regularly spilled. ACM offer the Surtronic Duo, a simple to use portable hand held testing machine which quantifies slip resistance.

This makes risk assessment easier and more accurate and the Surtronic Duo can be used on vinyl, linoleum, tiles, painted wood, terrazzo, marble, painted concrete and smooth concrete. Not suitable for use on very rough concrete, highly textured surfaces or carpet.
