Floor paint specification for chemical resistance and extreme durability

Herewith a standard specification for installation of a floor coating system suitable to accept general chemicals and extremely heavy industrial forklift traffic. Anticipated wear life is 3-5 years. Please contact ACM for details on specific chemicals.

1) The substrate should be mechanically prepared or have an open textured surface. The subfloor should be free of contamination and be of sound construction.

2) Apply a coat of ACM Epoxicote by roller and allow to cure.

3) Apply a second coat of ACM Epoxicote and allow to cure.

4) Optional antislip surface may be created by applying ACM Epoxicote Aggregate into the wet surface. Note:- This is a 1mm sharp grit and may damage rubber forklift tyres. Used mainly on ramps, staircases, around machines etc.

This system will be suitable for foot traffic after overnight cure and full industrial traffic after two days cure at temperatures of 15°C plus. Leave the floor for 7 full days before exposing to chemicals.

Solvent free and non-tainting. Tremendous value when calculating cost versus wear life in comparison to competitive products. Fast cure version available to allow two coats in one day at ambient temperatures.
