Herewith a standard specification for installation of an epoxy self smoothing screed to a concrete or screed substrate (not suitable for anhydrite substrates).
1) The substrate should be mechanically prepared to provide an open textured surface. The subfloor should be free of contamination and be of sound construction.
2) Apply a coat of ACM Penetrating Epoxy Primer and allow to cure. Optional four hour cure version available for over coating on the same day.
3) Apply a second coat of ACM Penetrating Epoxy Primer and allow to cure. Optional four hour cure version available for over coating on the same day.
4) Apply 3mm of ACM Epoxy SL and allow to cure.
This system is suitable for light foot traffic after overnight cure, vehicle traffic after two days and exposure to chemicals after seven days - based on temperatures of 15°C plus.
Advantages
Chemical resistant, brightly coloured, seamless, extremely durable (expected 10yrs plus lifespan).
Disadvantages
Not a low cost option short term but is extremely viable long term.
